What this site is for

The Insurance Record publishes research and editorial findings about individual insurance agents and brokers, checked against a standard we've published (see Our standard). It is intended for general informational purposes. It is not personalized financial, legal, or insurance advice, does not grade the financial strength of any insurance carrier, and using this site does not create any advisor-client or attorney-client relationship between you and us.

No guarantee of outcome

An agent or broker passing our standard is not a guarantee you'll have a good experience with them, and one failing it is not a guarantee you'll have a bad one — it's a report on specific, checkable facts as of the date we looked. Your own situation, an agent's current practices (which can change after our review date), and the terms of any policy you actually buy all matter and are your responsibility to verify independently before paying anyone.

Accuracy and corrections

We make a genuine effort to verify every fact against primary or independently-corroborated sources before publishing (see our editorial policy), but we don't warrant that every page is complete or error-free at every moment.
